About the United Center
Chicago, IL has grown into one of the top sports cities in the world. This is evident by the great teams that play there, and the venues that host games. The United Center is one of these venues, and upon opening in 1994 it was greatly anticipated by many. Unlike many other venues, this one has had the same name since day one.
The NHL’s Chicago Blackhawks and the NBA’s Chicago Bulls use the United Center for home games. As you can imagine, this venue is more than busy during the winter months. Concerts, professional wrestling, and other events also stop by the United Center on a semi-regular basis.
Many feel that the seating capacity of the United Center is its biggest advantage. But it doesn't stop there, United Center's acoustics were designed to amplify the noise level in order to recreate "The Roar", the din of noise that made Chicago Stadium famous, especially during hockey games. For some events, a capacity of 23,000 is more than possible. The United Center hosts over 200 events per year and has drawn over 20 million visitors since its opening.
If you are in Chitown, a Bulls game is an absolute must-see there! And even if you cannot find the time to watch a game, come to visit the United Center to see the Michael Jordan Statue.
